THE MISSION OF ROCK AND ROLL PLANET IS TO FURTHER THE ENJOYMENT OF CLASSIC ROCK AND ROLL. WE WILL CONCENTRATE ON THE POSITIVE ASPECT OF THE ARTISTS AND THEIR WORK, AND LEAVE NEGATIVE COMMENTS TO THE MUSIC CRITICS. WE ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO OFFER CRITIQUES. MORE IMPORTANTLY, WE ARE HERE JUST FOR FUN!

IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE, COULD THERE BE JUST ONE PLANET WITH INTELLIGENT ROCK AND ROLL?

Picture of Todd Rundgren in Austin
TODD RUNDGREN
Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 8:00.
I've always wanted to see Todd Rundgren and I finally made it to a show in Austin at La Zona Rosa. He was clearly not feeling well and we all felt bad that he still had to play. He gave it his all, having to stop and deal with a cough and other discomforts that come with a cold. He kept his sense of humor about it but his voice was struggling to the point that he asked for help from the audience. One by one, volunteers joined him on stage to sing for or with him. He still managed to get through "Can We Still be Friends", "Hello, It's Me", "Love is the Answer", and "Real Man" on his own, which are my favorites, and still sounded good even with a cold. He played the whole show and an encore and it was a lot of fun. His fans seemed more affectionate toward him than most any other artist I've seen. And now I know why.
